3 Riddles and Trade Show

This has been an insane term!
Teaching multiple classes, and trying to do personal work at the same time is a challenge. I tried to engage in other art activities besides teaching, such as participating in the Tools of the Trade Show. This was a good opportunity to take a whole day to just make art. It turned out to be more challenging that I thought, painting while talking to a lot of people at the same time. But it was great to hear a lot of feedback and good questions. I also received a lot of free
merchandise from the awesome vendors! Such as Kolinsky brushes (that I can't normally afford), nice papers, paint, and a really nifty masking fluid dispenser with a needle-thin "nose" for details.
In these 3 egg paintings,  I was keeping my painting practice alive during a busy time, and testing out my new supplies. These paintings  were made on different surfaces, using the masking fluid on the reflections and chalk-board, and testing out the new brushes. The big difference in the natural-fiber brushes is that the water never ends in them. They keep so much water, that you can make a super-wet wash that just keeps going. I found these brushes to go well with a cold-press Arches paper, because that paper is very highly absorbent.
The square painting below with the chalkboard was made on hot-press paper. The top was made on 140lb Arches using the natural-fiber brushes, and the one with the skulls was also made on arches, using a mix of materials.

Below are some images from the Tools of the Trade show, and some of my little demos and the tools that I used:
